IMPACT GRANTS

The impact grant cycle has a minimum request of $125,000 up to $1,000,000 for capital projects only. We encourage you to think big! The application process for this special cycle starts with a letter of intent due February 27th, 2026. Our committee will invite selected organizations to submit a full application. Notifications will be made by March 13th, 2026.

Letter of Intent is the first stage in the application process. Please submit directly to Karen.

  • No more than 3 pages
  • Concise description of the organization
  • Statement of the problem or need to be addressed
  • Description of the project/proposed solution
  • Estimated total cost of the project (official bids not required at this stage), and the amount being requested from CFGL
    • Asking for 100% of the project cost is ok, so long as it falls in range ($125k – $1M)
  • Description of any existing financial or organizational partners in the community

CONSULTING ASSISTANCE GRANTS

While The Foundation’s primary focus remains capital grantmaking, this grant provides funding specifically for consulting services and is made possible with one-time funding. The consulting assistance grant cycle is available for consulting support for development/fundraising, marketing/website, or other. The maximum request is $25,000. The deadline to submit your Letter of Intent is April 3rd, 2026.

Possible project ideas:

  • Fundraising Plan for turning visitors into donors
  • Plan for diversifying funding sources for an organization
  • Update/redesign of organization’s website
  • Help with implementing an existing strategic plan
  • Help with creating a strategic plan

Letter of Intent is the application. Please submit directly to Karen.

  • Statement of the need for consulting support
    • Development/fundraising
    • Marketing/website
    • Other
  • List (with brief description) the consultant/group you propose to work with
